Is it like the Sims or something? From what I can tell, you download a program and then interact with other players while building a virtual world for yourself.

Anyone have experience with it? Is it any fun?

I've been playing it for over a year now. Think of it like a 3-d chat server where you can also build basically any gadget you want to build, and program it to do whatever you want to do. I have quite the collection of helicopters and trebuchets that i've built.

I'm also a second life mentor, meaning i help new residents and older ones alike. if you have any specific questions i'd be happy to help out.

just checked it out, looks like its anywhere from free to 9.99 a month. I don't think i want to spend the money.

yes. with limitations. there are combat areas and safe zones. i have miniguns and all sorts of fun shit.

it's completely free to play. it's like arfcom. free to join and do what you want, but paying members get perks.
