Everyone knows a good way to see how hydrated you are is to look how clear your urine is. How come when I drink a lot, my urine is clear as can be, yet I wake up completely dehydrated?

Alcohol is a diuretic. It causes your kidneys to act as if you have plenty of fluid to get rid of. You pee a lot. You get dehydrated.
