As I understand, in a govt. building they may have a metal detector. You are not required to pass thru it BUT you will also not be admitted in.

Now suppose you are summoned for jury duty and show up at the cout house and refuse to walk thru the metal detector. They refuse to allow you to enter. Are you in trouble for not reporting to jury duty. Remember they called you in. No, you are not armed and not a fugative.

I woiuld imagine that you would have a bench warrent issued for not appearing for jury duty.

Have to ask though, why not just walk through the metal detector?
