Is anybody going to buy the new iPhone on Friday? I like my phone to dial and answer. Beyond that I would be lost with a phone like that. I dable in stocks and trading options and I will be keeping my eye on the stock tomorrow to see activity. The stock has been going crazy up and down over the last few weeks and I am wondering if this will be a flop. Thinking of playing the stock on the downturn.

I know there are some serious tech and gadget guys on here. What are your thoughts?

Shiny trinkets to coax the natives into giving away their clamshells or land. Same as it ever was.

I want one. I think they will do well. iPod has done pretty good and from the looks and features of the iPhone it will do really well.

Is there a known price for these things yet?

Depending on what Gig you get they are $500 and $600 each. The contracts don't look as bad as I thought but they aren't great either. I imagine if it is good that At&t will be a big winner since they are the sole provider.

I have absolutely no use whatsoever for such things... but I'm sure the techno-geeks are creaming their jeans right about now.

After much research I have found that the iphone isn't nearly what it's cracked up to be.

There are other phones currently on the market that can do more, do it better, and cost less.

There is nothing that the iphone can do that some current phones on the market can't, but there are a number of things that some current phones on the market can do that the iphone can't.

Excluding the fancy touch screen interface that is.

Pretty neat, they look slick as hell...... but I'd have no use for one.  I'll stick with my laptop for web browsing when I need it.  I have a RAZR that I like because I can put it in my pocket and practically forget it's there, and it does what I need it to do - make calls.

Yep... One tech writer flat out said to wait for version2, some faster chip that Apple wanted wasn't available at the time, but is now... FWIW: The writer is pretty sure the I-Phone version 2 will be out sometime early next year.

Since money from all sales of Apple products makes it to Al Gore..and the "You must us att"...I will pass.

You all are paying for marketing and not a product.
