Got notification to update my 6s last night. I think 10.1.1 (said something about bug fixes and Heath app).  Was currently operating at the latest update.  So I did an over the air update, it displayed the Apple and the status bar.  Then it froze and next thing I knew it was the connect it itunes to restore.  So I did. Tried Update first.  Went for about 20 min and then gave me error (39 I think) could not Update.  Tried several times.  Said could not, and needed to restore.  So I did.  Got all way to Verifying Update and  then error 9.

What do I need to do (and I'm ready for the jokes and Apple hate).

Forgot to add:  When I opend itunes I had a playlist titled "fuckPlaylist".  What is that?  No porn or pc or phone.  No one uses either but me, as well.

Help!

I've had the phone 3 month.  2 years on a 5s before that.  Never a problem.  I went with iPhone because it more simple.  Or was.  This isn't good for me, especially now.

Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if you manually disconnect the device during the restore process. You can resolve this issue by using USB troubleshooting, using a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

Give AppleCare a call, they can assist you with this over the phone for free. Your phone is also in warranty so they will also replace it free of charge if needed

From the error 9 message, it sounds like your cable might be glitchy.  Try another one and see if it completes the update.
