They imported the German PPK/S along with lots of other European guns, and they also contracted a company to make the PPK/S, PPK, and TPH here in the states.   The Interarms made ones were very high quality.

As already stated, they were a major importer in the eighties and early nineties. I have a few guns with their import mark. I believe they brought in a bunch of the Hungarian Hi-Power clones dirt cheap, they were selling for less than $200 brand new at one point.

Sam Cummings was the owner of Interarms.  They had huge operations in Virginia and England.  He was also a major supplier of arms to the CIA and did business with Ollie North.

But he was the King for decades.  I still find stuff with his company name on it.

They wrote a book about him....something like The Merchant of Death.

I have an Interarms Virginian Dragoon in .44mag. My dad bought it in the early 80's. It's a very well put together piece in stainless and has the smoothest, lightest trigger I have felt on any firearm, rifle or pistol. It's also very accurate.

The Interarms Walther  PPK/S in SS, very classy. Much better quality than when S&W started to produce them. Founded by Samuel Cummings, very interesting life he lived.

Newbie.

There is Interarms - the original arms importing company that was based in Alexandria, VA (back in the day they had a very nice showroom)

Or are you talking about a High Standard, which it seems have bought the name?  Judging by the ad I'm thinking the latter.

Hmmm.... I'll have to do that! My Rem 700 .308 has replaced the Interarms long ago as my main bolt rifle (and I picked-up a Ruger Scout last fall that I dig as well), but I'd still like to fix that trigger on the Mk X.

Yup... that's what mine is. Had some minor surface corrosion when I bought it, but stripped it down to the white and then painted with bake-on gun paint. I think I'll end-up stripping that back off and taking the action in to be reblued. Also put a black stock on it, but think I'll throw it back in the nice deluxe wood stock that it came in.

I love my US-made Interarms PPK/s, it was my first handgun. 100 rounds at the range would give you a nice blister on the web of your hand if you didn't wear a shooting glove.

Interarms also imported the pre-Taurus Rossi line. I picked up a Interarms marked Rossi 625A .22 pump and a Rossi M335 2" .38 spl revolver last year. Both are well built guns for the price.

I've aslo a '77 Walther made (Germany) PP in .380 with the Interarms mark..

I made the pilgrimage there a few times a year.

The retail outlet for Interarms was a place called "Ye Olde Hunter" on Prince Street, right at the river. I remember going there in the late 1950s, and seeing dewat Sten guns for $9.95, and M1A1 Thompsons (also dewats) for $49.95. I bought a Schmeisser MP28 from them for $35 in 1961. About 15 years later, I managed to get one of their Sten guns that had been registered during the 1968 amnesty and restored to a fully-functioning SMG.

They also had Steyr 1909 semi-auto pistols Nagant revolvers. The pistols were in bushel baskets, and you could root through them and take your pick for $9.95 each. No import marks, either. And no 4473.

Interarms used to own many warehouses that made up a great deal of Alexandria.
I always wanted to see what was stored in them.
In 1968, Cummings had over 700,000 firearms stored there.

I remember seeing barrels full of those.  Most of them looked a bit rough.  I wanna say they were $180-$200 in the late 80s or early 90s.  The barrel full of $79 Chinese SKS rifles usually got more attention.
