fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu |

Quoted: How in the fuck are you so far out of touch with your wife and her spending habits (not to mention your shared accounts) that you let $5K worth of purchases pass unnoticed? Honestly, I didn't have the password to the CC and she was gone. I have corrected that. |
|
Quoted: My wife left town a few months ago to be with family while I was away on official business. We have ONE credit card. I had been extremely diligent about paying it down and then off. We had it down to $600 from 3.5k within a few months. I just logged on to the CC account. It's over 5k. I just sold all of my fucking leave and that will barely cut that in half. So much for buying a suppressor or, you know, socking the rest of it away into savings and building a bigger nest egg. I'm cutting that sonofabitch up. Here I was thinking, man, it's gonna be so nice to be debt free, finally. NOPE! Chuck Testa! Mother. Fuck. ![]() . What did she spend $4400 on. My god. |

Honestly, I didn't have the password to the CC and she was gone. I have corrected that. Go one step further. Take her card and have her removed from the account. Make her use cash for everything. It will keep her more in touch with how much is being spent and a pain in the ass to go to the bank every time she wants to buy bullshit. Also, take her debit card. |

What did she spend $4400 on. My god. But honey, it's a real nice Luis Vitton handbag! |

Same thing happened to my brother.
He works himself to death and does EVERYTHING he can to pinch pennies, yet his idiot wife spends money like a pimp with 48 hours to live. Yet he won't do anything to stop it, just has an angry talk with her every time the joint checking account gets overdrawn, and then goes back to working overtime to try and recover the lost ground. Six months later she does it AGAIN! I don't even feel sorry for him anymore. If I had to deal with that more than once in a lifetime, well... I wouldn't. |

What did she spend $4400 on. My god. Have your credit line reduced. That'll control the spending. |
christmas shit for a lot of people including myself. Bills, various things at walmart, target and other stores, rent. I just saw a bill for 150 to a friggin shoe store. ugh. I added 300 to it not knowing we were so in over our heads. I had planned to use my sold leave money to pay for that and it was a present for her anyhow. Yeah, some of it was spent on me but I said it was fine not knowing that we had already surpassed the 3k line. ![]() |

Quoted: Anger won't help. Just talk to her about it and accept that you weren't exactly on top of things yourselves. You can work this out. i know, it was short sighted and in poor taste to come here to vent. I asked a mod to lock or delete the thread. Hopefully they'll be along shortly. I had spoken to her prior to me arriving in VA to pick them all up and drive them home. We are sitting down and doing a planned family budget and sticking to it. Especially after this. I had planned this 2 months ago. |
