I have an issue with yahoo. I have limited knowledge of computers, but I am not completely ignorant.

The top of screen at this time says: AR15.COM::Forums::Post Topic -Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Yahoo!

I want to get rid of yahoo. How do I change my default provider to something other than yahoo? I want yahoo off my computer totally and forever.

Can anyone help?

I am using a recent model Toshiba laptop, xp version if that helps.

Download Hijackthis
Unzip, Scan and remove this line:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Window Title = Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Yahoo!

Give that a shot, And go download Firefox.

Go to your start menu>control panel>add/remove programs.

Find the yahoo browser and uninstall it.

Or just ignore the yahoo browser and get Firefox

*Are you on DSL provided by ATT/Yahoo? If so and are using their software to log into your modem be careful not to remove it.

It's not a big deal if you do... just some more things to change in your settings.

EDIT:sorry 'bout that I thought you were using the yahoo browser not IE. Go with the HiJack this like -RotorDemon- said.
