So being the frugal person I'm not most of the time I decided to try the toner refill route. We have three laser jets and they all seemed to run out around the same time this year. So I buy a refill kit for around 8 bucks and it works great. The toner prints nice and sharp and we'll see how long it lasts. Anyone else try these refill kits? |

I use several HP LJ4 printers, and have had pretty good luck with toner purchased from Printer Ink Warehouse - as long as the cartridge is only refilled ONCE before discarding it. More than once, and the output starts looking bad. BTW, ebay has some amazing prices on brand-new cartridges for some HP models, particularly if you take the time to search under alternate manufacturer's part numbers (i.e., Apple, Brother, Canon, Lexmark, DEC, etc.). |
