God was supposed to kill a kitten, but looks like he missed and tried to make it a little more personal. Take note.

Saw the same thing when my sister screwed in a brand new light bulb a few years back.  I don't know if she didn't get it in all the way or what but I'm glad she wasn't hurt.  I'm always VERY careful about turning on a new, freshly installed light bulb.  Face away, eyes closed, preferably around the corner and reaching around to flip the switch.

The flood light over my garage did that during the summer. No apparent cause, just a pop, and glass shards.

S.O.

i don't know what brand of bulb it was. it has been in there for months. there is no more glass left on it so i have to wait till mourning for enough light for me to try to take the rest out.

Use a potato and make sure you turn off the power to the receptacle.

Hey.. I value my eyes highly.  Don't care about skin cuts but might as well avoid them if I can, right?

I guess it is kind of silly considering I've been shooting for almost 17 years and only started using eyepro in the last two.
