So I signed up for the forums, and confirmed my email yesterday.
I understand that mods manually approve accounts, but was wondering if this is a slow process because I never heard back from them. I am not a service member or law enforcement.I mainly wanted to join so I could glean some information from the Roll your own forum I had heard about as I am planning on making some canvas bags from scratch. Anyway, just curious if I am being over anxious. Thanks |

Given that he's the current commander in chief of the military, and lots of guys there are active duty military, I can see why the admins wouldn't want the board to become known for its political views. |

No. I've known people to be banned there for expressing a preference in gear that a moderator doesn't like. It's the ultimate circle jerk for every one term 0311 or city cop. I pretty much only read posts there. I don't think I've ever actually posted. I also think I've been a member there long enough to where I didn't have to do an introductory post. Yeah, there's some stupidity, but there's also incredible knowledge and experience.
And entertainment. Watching Haley go off the deep end defending his totally-awesome 1911 Glock trigger (  ) was an amazing thing to watch.

Place is dead as an upstate new York factory. I think I have four posts there. Used to some good gear reviews by guys in the military but not much going on there now other than the 20 people who have been there forever roughing up any new sucker who wanders in by mistake. I didn't see the Haley thing yet. Some holster guy goy caught shilling and kind of melted down. I have to admit Pat Rogers was more patient with him then I would have been. |

I'm not going to disagree with you, but you don't have to post there. You don't even have to read it. There is a lot of very good info there. And a lot of guys with some very good knowledge. Go post in one of our AR tech forums contradicting someone with 20 posts and see what happens. There are annoying posters on every forum. |

| I didn't have a problem signing up over there a couple of years ago and i was confirmed within a day. I recently signed up at M4Carbine and they still haven't confirmed me and it's been over a month. No worries, as soon as i have disposable funds i'm gonna buy a membership here. |
