I have a set of lock picks that I've been using for I dont know how long.  I recently found out they were purchased by my grandfather around 1920.  He paid $0.15 for them.  Because of this I want to relegate them to the family heirloom box so I dont hurt them.  I've always thought they were really nice, now I know why.

I need a new set.  Where is a decent place to order some and what should I look to pay?  I'd like more than the minimal 3 pick + twister set but I dont need the 144 piece kit with the vibrating lube dispenser.

Where should I look?

I have the 17 piece set from these guys, it works great but isnt quite as nice as what the professional locksmith usually gets his hands onto.
and I only use 3 of the picks anyway.  though the variety of tension wrenches is nice

A couple of picks and a couple of wrenches is all you really need I agree.  And it seems none of the package deals contain exactly what I wanted.

I googled lock picks and found about a dozen places that will sell online.  Then there's always e-bay.

Well, if you're not a locksmith - 'round these here parts - holding a set at the wrong time and place is a crime in itself.

(I'm sure he's just trying to play on the word 'lock.)

I have helped a friend get into her house after locking herself out...I am not a locksmith.
