I just had a 60+ year old women come in. the asked me if i could remove some stripped screws holding the keyboard down. I said we won't be able to look at it untill later today. she said she hasn't been able to get online. so i started asking her a couple of question. does the light come on the network card when you plug in the cable, blank page come up?, slow to come up etc etc. she said NO i am using wireless. i just can't get online. says cable disconected SO she calls dell and the tech was walking this 60 year old lady to take her laptop apart.... i'm guess he was going to have her reseat the card. what else COULD you do if you don't have another card to switch out  she said this was the second time they have had her do this. i just stood there the whole time like this  of course she brings it to me with the battery STILL plugged in and the ac adapter still plugged into the back of the laptop..  she decided not to leave it i guess because she would have to leave it with us  |
