My next AR build is going to be a 6.5 Grendel, and I was looking at punching paper in excess of 500 yards with it. I was interested in Mil-Dot scopes and their usage, since I want to put one on that rifle. While deciding on what optic I was looking for, I came across this Demo online of software that is designed to be an aid in training for range estimation/wind calls. I've been messing around with the demo, and after a few hours I must say that I think I am going to order the software. The math portion of the estimation that does the MOA conversions has always been what I found hardest, and since I have no practical experience doing the actual reading of the mils this has me all excited. Even the demo has been helpful, especially with the math and ranging conversions.
