Maddow is about to froth at the mouth vilifying Rand Paul. You can see Matthews is sick of her ranting, shrill, carping harpy behavior. Sharpton looks like he has dozed off and is waiting for someone to jog his arm so he will know when chime in with a race related accusation.

They are bashing Rand Paul now. They're not bashing him, they're pointing out how he might be a thorn in Mitch McConnel's side of the senatorial GOP and the Ted Cruz's side. It's an interesting point and they also stated that it would be the GOP hardliners that would throw Rand Paul under the bus before any Dems even got into sniffing distance. I've been watching all night (CNN as well) and except for Randy Madcow, they've been more shell shocked than anything else. They truly believe that Obama was a big part of this tidal wave that hit them tonight and they've more or less given up hope on him accomplishing anything. One chick--Gloria Borger (?) on CNN thought that BHO would still try to E.O. an amnesty bill down our throats, but the others all disagreed with her. Chris |

This is why I watch 'the enemy'...not because I fantasize about Randy, but because I get a different perspective that I might not get from the conservative driven media. Take the showdown they were taking about, between MM and Ted Cruz. I realize that there can be a rift in a party, but they kind of painted the newly constituted GOP as being a 'bully pulpit' for Cruz and his proponents. This seems to indicate a 'divided party' in the eyes of the MSNBCers and I hope that that doesn't come to fruition. Some tension is fine, but self destructing on ourselves is something that I don't want to see. The best thing that the repubs can do, IMO, is to get some stuff passed. It doesn't have to be perfect, but things need to get done, if we're going to have a chance in 2016 and I'm not talking the presidential office. Lots of repub seats come up for vote in 2016. Chris |
