i think its high time i figure out some way to have a single sound system for my multiple computers. this is what I'm working with here:
the mac has its own set of sparkers, its a logitech set that was nice when it was new, but now i have no idea how long ago i bought it. call it at least 6 years.
everything in the rack (really just the 3 silver desktops) comes thru the black monitor, and the piece of shit speaker system that i bought because i needed something tiny back when i was in an apartment. this part of the set up sucks, because the sound cables are all going thru the KVM unit to get to the speakers, so only the currently selected computer has sound. if something happens on one while I'm looking at another, then i don't hear the sound it would make. really only minor inconvenience, but id like to overcome this if possible.
so I'm thinking a small mixer would be the way to go. anyone ever do something like this?
ETA - yep, no curtains, I'm single, and not one single fuck will be given.

no curtains? Hope that's not a ground floor. SOmeone will see all that equipment from the street....
In all my years of IT support, I never paid attention on all the KVM switches I worked with to see if they had sound jacks or not....
