[ARCHIVED THREAD] - need some Lan Help

I ahve 3 computers hooked up to a wireless router but the 3 are running wired thru the router. 1 comp is acting strange. The icon show that the connection is connecting and reconnecting frequently. I checked the wiring and it seems to be ok. When it it connects it run fast.

Any ideas??

Try seeing if there is an updated driver for the LAN card.

Since it appears to only be doing it on that machine, the DHCP server in the router (I am assuming you are using DHCP) is fine.

try reseating the network card. turn the system off unplug the power. reseat the card and start. if its integrated its either a wrong driver. bad cable or bad port on router or bad nic

Probably a driver issue, but also check the powersaving settings on the NIC in the Device Manager.
