I ordered two of the coins at the end of December and they arrived in less than a week. My guess is that they really are swamped but that's no excuse for poor service.

I am sure they are/were and I was hesitant to post anything of a derrogatory nature here as I truly believe in what they stated is a good and worthy cause.  I did however expect to see my coins eventually arrive after waiting almost 4 weeks.  I am happy that you recieved your items and that you have donated to a worthy cause.  In reality I think I am more dissapointed in the false United States Postal Service tracking number and the letter stating that I would recieve the items as mentioned, more so than the actual $45.00 that was contributed.

I donate to them regularly, based upon recommendations of people like Old_Painless who KNOW these guys personally. I get a few trinkets here and there from them, BUT it's for the TROOPS, not for the trinkets.

Go find another charity that forwards ALL the proceeds to the cause and NONE to administration. Call me when you find one.

I happen to live in the same city that Officer Deneys is a resident of.  I am well aware of good intentions as like others here I am sure do donate what they can to charieties deemed worthy.  While ideally it is not for the trinkets, being an ex military person myself I have quite an extensive collection of coins collected of various theatres of ops and thought that these would be ideal to add to that collection.  I take pride in taking part of and being part of pro US military ventures.  I am not sure what you are trying to state with your statements would you please be so kind as to clarify?

Think again.  To make a long story short I purchased and paid via paypal for a couple of their coins.  After one week of no notice beyond my original paypal statement  I sent a polite, professional, and courteous letter stating to effect:

"I am inquiring on the status of shipment for my order placed last week via Paypal.  I understand that this is not a full time job as you are busy with serving our community here in *******.  I appreciate the steps that you have taken to help ensure that our men and women in the armed forces receive the necessary equipment to continue to do their jobs in protecting our country.  Thank you for your time."

After one week of no reply I resent the same email, now two weeks without status of shipment nor items paid for.  After not receiving a response for the second time, I filed a complaint through paypal.  At which point I finally received the below:

Mr *******,

I am sorry for the delay,  since the Marquette incident we have not been able to keep up.  I will personally see that your order gets shipped.  Sorry for the delay but my full time job has taken up quite a bit of time lately.

Keith D. Deneys
Snipersonline UA Director "

This was received 17 Feb 05.  I was then provided through paypal the following:

"The seller has provided the following information in response to your
complaint, indicating that the item was shipped.

Tracking Company: USPS
Tracking Number: 0103 855 7493 5100 73**"

I figured great must be a misunderstanding or possibly something was lost in the mail.  Unfortunately the above tracking number (sans asteriks with correct numbers) is non existent and has continued to be so since 17 Feb 05.

I can only share my own personal experience in the dealings of this matter and I am ONLY serving notice to those who have considered the idea to donating towards a noteworthy and noble cause.  While I do not have a problem of donating money, as I have just made a contribution of a greater amount to the Disabled Veterans of America, I did expect to receive what I ordered initially.  As such I will look upon it as a another hopefully worthy donation to our troops.

InFAL, send me the amount and your mailing address via IM, and I will reimburse you personally. Adoptasniper is working hard to do, in my opinion, a very important and valuable thing. The challenge coins, bracelets, etc are fund raising mecanisims, not truely products that they are selling. If you were just buying a neato coin to have instead of truely trying to support our troops, I'll gladly pay you to let them get on with what they're trying to do.

When I donate blood, I don't do it for the free juice and cookies.

ETA; I am not affiliated with adoptasniper in any way. I just believe in what they're doing.

no one here is crying.  Please re-read my posts.  As for the "free juice and cookies" why bother state it all?  I have no problems with making monetary donations to causes I deem just.  This is one of them.  As I stated I am more insulted by the false or incorrect information given for the USPS tracking number.  I'm not sure what my inconvienance and the airing of my grievance has to do with any "crying" or false statements made?

I donated online a few weeks ago.  And wasn't going to worry about getting anything in return.

True to their word, they shipped the backordered bracelets last week with, as expected, American Sniper on them.

Discouraging people from contributing to an organization that supports our men in combat because you didn't get a fucking trinket is definitely crying.

Hello men (ladies). Sorry for the drama here.

First of all. Excuses bite so I will fix the problem.

I have a couple of the old coins of my own with the old address thereon. I was keeping them as keepsakes as they are the last of the Mohicans. They are NIB.

IM me an address and the number of your original order and I will put them in the mail tomorrow. Sorry for your trouble.

Explanation:

We are totally sold out of the original 2500 coins we ordered and have new ones on the way with the new site address thereon. We had to re-design them and get the final approval from the maker whose graphic designer was out for a week on vacation, blah, blah.

Same logo but new bottom rocker to reflect the site address AmericanSnipers.org.

We probably have half of those pre-sold already. Glad they were a hit but we never expected a sniper coin tsunami. Bracelets have been the same way. Makers can't make them fast enough.

The "coin guy" cop sniper that does the shipping out of his house was at a .50 cal sniper school all last week.

The "bracelet guy" cop had his hard drive crash and is in panic mode as well so ... your patience is appreciated. Doing all we can.

Thanks for supporting the troops.

Thank you for the delightful insight, next time when you go the grocery store and buy Paul Newmans salad dressing, just give the store the money as all profits are donated directly to help disabled children.  That is buy the dressing but don't take it home with you, just leave it there for someone else who does the same.  So you donated to this cause for free?  Well power to you if in fact you did.  Little keepsake momentos that I can proudly display mean something to me, I'm sorry if this notion is completely lost upon you.  If you are looking for another organization that helps ex combat troops please donate to www.dav.org/.

Anyways enough with the kid games.  Thank you Officer Sain for the response.  I will cancel my gripe with paypal as I am/ was looking for answers and you have provided them for me to my satisfaction.  Everything is square and accept my donation to your cause.

I don't know what your damned problem is.  I came here and griped about a complaint.  How many other people had this happen to them that donated?  None?  Well how the hell am I supposed to know that?  You think I live breathe and die this page?  Get a life and get off my back jack off.  How many people would truly truly be happy thinking they could display a coin at work and at home that showed I donated to the adopt a sniper program only not recieve any word of status or whether or not its even a legitimate operation?  How is my own personal momento or reasons of wanting one any skin off your nose?  Once again I implore you, besides taking the actions and language of a 9 year old, how the hell was my greviance any of your damned business?

Hey fellas, no worries ... if we are going to offer stuff for sale .. the guy is at least owed an explanation.

The biggest problem has been explaining the same things to people, hundreds of times over, weekly, for months on end. All of our emails stay jammed up. Plus the hate mail ... (libs/Euros)

We truly created a monster.

We even had a threat to GWB come across.

Secret Service sniper team instructor is a pal ... TRULY sucks to be the guy that sent it right about now.

The program has been successful. We are grafteful for that and for all of you here at AR15.com

There is no doubt that we are all making a difference in our snipers working environments and they are whacking radical, militant, fundamentalist, Islamic terrorists (Haji) like nobody's f23king business.

Seriously bro, I can get you a coin. Just get me that address and it's done.

Not my thread but I really see no need for it to continue. Couterproductive ...

Guy, have you taken a deep breath and actually considered why you're getting the responses you are? Your origonal post was an attempt to damage the reputation of, and discourage donations to, a cause that we believe is worthy and worth while. You tried to shit on the reputations of some people who (whom?) a lot of us truely respect. You did this over a bauble, showing that you believed it to be more important than the underlying cause. Stop arguing for a moment. Think about this for a minute. You're pulling some really mickey mouse crap here.

buying isn't the correct word to be used reviewing paypal is always stated a purchasing an item and not a donation, I understand your POV.  Maybe it was run by a John Kerry type of guy, state one thing such as "you get" but in reality get nothing.   How the hell am I supposed to know?  I've never even seen nor heard of these guys until I read in the local papers about the commies shutting them down at Marquette.  AS I AM A MAN OF MY WORD, I have stated to Officer Sain to accept my donation accordingly.

My own appologies for jumping the gun on everyone.  The end result is we are all on the same team.

You want one of those ... or the new ones when they hit.

Actually I would prefer it, if possible if you would write/email a letter on your official letterhead stating simply thank you for your donation to the adopt a sniper program and the support of the men and women serving in Iraq.  I would like to put it up in my office at work next to a letter of appreciation of support  I received from Kathryn Harris.
