I was given an older ibm thats running win2k.. The guy that gave it to me was using it as a printer server and set it up using vnc. I would like to set it up as a home server (or at least try) /firewall. I can eventually get a free monitor if need be but I would rather not due to the space required. How can I get this set up?.. I do not know any other info about the machine.. I have a crossover cable and would like to just use that... Any hints from the almighty hive? Thanks! SOB |

i only know how to do remote command line installs for os x so no hints, but a couple key questions. do you want to go through the set-up without a monitor, or just run it without after installation? will it have the previous owners os and vnc installed or will you want to configure something similar? |
Answering those questions, it becomes apparent to me that I need a monitor.. Thanks anyways! |
