Just saw a 1911-a1 Remington rand marked slide and frame for $425. The frame is nickel/chrome and marked Remington Rand US property and then after that U.S. ARMY. The slide is parked and stamped Remington Rand but has after market rear site. It seems like a  pieced together gun but it may still be a good deal. What would you give for this one in 80% condition?

After being pieced together, and Nickel plated, and Parked.  with an aftermarket rear sight, I wouldn't give much for it.

I mean, it'd be cool to have, especially if you removed the finish, re blued it, and replaced the sight, but it still wouldn't be original.

Be a cool wall hanger though.    Just my .02

If the guts are in good shape, it's worth $425 any day.

The nickel plating is not factory.  It should have been parkerized when new.

Its no collector piece, but if you're looking for a nice shooter, its price is fair.

If I didn't just get a SA 1911-A1 last Thursday it would be a simple "YES"
