I'm going to buy the car which is best for the price. All American companies have the capability to build car competitive with all imports but they choose not to for the most part. in the past 5 years American car companies have had a turn around but their past will still hurt them.
I'll buy what is cheapest and best bang for the buck. As patriotic as I am, we became the economic power house by the Free Market. The good will last, the bad will die, The country it comes from doesn't matter. China is the only country I wont buy from, and thats only if the order is over $10. My reasoning is because china will be Americas next big war. |

and my Camry is more made in the US than most Chevy/Ford/Chrysler. heck, the Tundra is made exclusively in the US. A few years ago in high school we got to tour the Toyota factory where they make all the Camrys in Georgetown Kentucky. I guess to tour Dodge Chrysler and GMC in Canada would be too long of a drive. |

Last I heard that plant employees 1000 American workers. The Toyota engine plant near here just expanded. But, neither of them are union. I own 5 vehicles. One of each of the major Japanese brands, and a single domestic. My lone domestic vehicle is from back when America knew how to make a quality, long lasting product, and as a result I'll probably get another 60 good years out of my 1949 Ford 8N.
The funny thing is that my FJ Landcruiser that was built entirely in Japan back in 1983 still contributed to the US economy via the license Toyota paid to GM for their loose copy of the Chevy 207 straight six motor. |

Do you know what is shutting Detroit down the fact that the union has driven the cost of producing a car up while Japanese companies like Subaru (Who make their cars in this country) make better cars for far less money. In my area of MICHIGAN Awd or 4wd is a near must their cars are getting more and more popular because they are engineered better and are cheaper than the plastic garbage Detroit is putting out now. I am a mfer because I fallow economics and won't enslave myself to your need? You guys already got paid to sit and do nothing during 2008 with government money/debt which is just a mortgage on my future. I picking out a new car right now to replace my old totaled suburban and you won't see a dime.
