Pretty damn simple. Buy a bottle of radiator flush and follow the directions.  Dispose of old coolent properly.

Quite easy, and you'll do a much better job yourself than a shop rat will.

My suggested method:

1) With engine cool, drain Rad and refill with plain water.  Drive the shit out of it for about 15 minutes.

2) Repeat step 1 again.

3) Drain Rad again then add the Radiator flush that you get at an auto parts store.  You're basically going to pour in the stuff, fill the remaining volume of the Rad with water, then drive the shit out of it again for about 10 minutes to get the Flush throughout the entire cooling system (Rad, engine block, etc.).

4) Let engine cool a little.  Drain.  Refill with tap water, drive the shit out of it again.

5) Repeat step 4.

6) NOW - drain once more and add the proper 50/50 mixture of Anti Freeze and distilled water, not tap water.

Drive and enjoy.

Some people will not do as many "rinse" steps as I do but my coolant fluid is spotless in all my vehicles.  The above steps do a very good job of flushing the entire coolant system.

Doesn't hurt to pull the reserve tank and give it a rinse out as well.
