It was something of chilly tonight on the indoor range. Me in jeans, boots, tee, tac shirt, wooly pulley and still after a while, my hands, the tip of my nose was getting numb from the cold......................and I loved it, loved being there!

I have been up in the Black Hills in Feb before, Truck temp said it was 11. There was a slight breeze to top it off. shot for about 30 mins and packed up. I never did that again. Shooting is suppose to be fun. That was not fun.

If you live in a cold climate you need to know what happens to you and your firearms in cold weather. Man up, bundle up and go shoot.

Zombie movies might take place when it's green out, but I have an idea they can still get around when it's cold out.

It is never too cold for a trip to the range. Dress warm.

I've stood on a range for three days straight where it was a downpour on day one and by the time I cleared the range on day three there was a foot of snow on the ground.
Some days are just too miserable to be on a range, even when you're being paid to be there.

The majority of my outdoor range trips are when its freezing cold or pouring rain.  The only reason I prefer to go then is its almost a guarantee I'll have the range to myself.

I conducted a handgun course yesterday in Boulder City, NV (Southern Nevada). Cloudy, with a high of 43 degrees... a little chilly, but very bearable if you dress appropriately.

Be Safe.

Depends on how desperate I am to get out to the range and shoot.  I need to get some better cold weather gear.  I'd say less then 10 degrees is really not comfortable for me to shoot unless moving around.  10-30 degrees is mildly uncomfortable.  Over 30 degrees is nice.

Too cold to shoot is a personal preference and is dependant on how much cold you can or want to tolerate.

Cold, snow, rain, best time to go.

GOING TO PLOW THE PARKING LOT IN THE MORNING. THEN CLEAN THE 5 INCHES OF SNOW OFF THE BENCHES. I MIGHT BUILD A SMALL FIRE FOR SOMETHING TO DO. THE AFTERNOON WILL BE FOR SHOOTING.

last year after i dug out of 4 feet of snow i went to the range.... putting targets up was anoying

but i've been to the range in all weather. the firing line is under a roof so rain/snow doesn't matter.

I don't know, I was out shooting today and it was in the mid to high  20s.

JUST GO SHOOT!
