any tips for making root beer

he suggested cane sugar and brown sugar and to not use granulated sugar.

any other ingredients we should use

Root beer just isn't the same since they decided the ROOT for root beer wasn't good for you!

My memories of home made root beer as a child was to use Fleishmans bread yeast and it gave it that yeast beady taste that said home made. Since I started brewing beer, I tried several brewing yeasts but I always go back to bread yeast.

Buy a gallon of Sprechers Root Beer Syrup. Add about 4 gallons of water. Carbonate in a keg. Enjoy

Sprechers is great root beer. Getting it to pour without a glass of foam takes some experimenting though.

I believe that there are direction on the bottle for making it and using a bit of yeast to carbonate. Then you can bottle as you see fit.
