I just talked to ATF and they told me I had to ship a muzzleloader to an FFL.  I was told by different people that these could be shipped right to the buyer.  Anyone have any info on this or a link to ATF rules I could not find them,.  Thanks in advance.

BP guns are not considered firearms by the feds, so ATF is full of shit. However, some states do consider black powder guns firearms, and class them as such.

Depends on the state, so check the laws of the state you're shipping it to. But otherwise they're not considered firearms.

The ATF guys are fucking idiots. Federally, you can ship a muzzleloader door to door with no issues. BassPro, Cabela's and every other hunting store does it all of the time.

Yes, but that makes no difference. The only restrictions on shipping muzzleloaders are any state or local ones.
