Texas is one of the best as far as gun laws and gun stores are concerned.  Probably not THE VERY best, but its right up there near the top.

As far as job ops are concerned, its probably way better than any of those states you mentioned in the poll.

You're only a true arfcommer if when during your evaluation of picking a different state to live in, you evaluate how active their HTF is!

I lived in Great Falls, MT for 11yrs and the gunshows and stores sucked. There is a good show in Missoula and we had a good range near by.

Now I am in Utah, the dealers ass rape you on fees. $25 for in bound transfers plus $7.50 Background check.

The Montana CCW permit was $50 if you are a resident here it costs up to $109 but you do not need to be a resident.

I do like Utah better than Montana though.

Guns laws are pretty much a wash, except Montana doesn't allow DDs AFAIK.

I'd pick Montana, just because it's the most beautiful state in the US.

I would say Idaho due to population and the number of computer manufacturing companies. I got a sign off for a muffler last year no problem. CCW renewal is like $12 or such.
