Other than a protein shake, I don't take any supplements

What's everyone else take?

You know that old guy with the drawer full of supplements?

Whey shakes with Casein and BCAAs when I don't have time to make a protein-rich meal that is more like real food
EPA/DHA and GLA
Probiotics, digestive enzymes and raw organic apple cider vinegar
Red Yeast Rice--I might see what, if anything, dropping this does to my blood work since my body fat has been in the healthy range for a couple years now (used to be a fatty)
Multivitamin
Lots of green tea, if that counts as a "supplement"

[#4]
Not much.

Fish Oil
Multi Vitamin
MSM

For pill supplements, B12, Biotin (B7), Complex B, Magnesium, Potassium, C, D, dessicated liver, probiotics, krill oil

For powder supps in addition to whey and casein, I take a preworkout blend before working out, and BCAA's when I get home from lifting (I'll bring an additional intra-workout shake of BCAA's on leg day though)

Not to high jack... But my doc pulled me of injections put me on a compounded cream... Not sure if it's working. I'm kinda feeling how I did before I started TRT.

preworkout. Right now 2 scoops of c4
creatine with dextrose post workout-somepeople may call it bullshit but I can see a huge difference in the gym and in the mirror and feel the recovery time decrease
then a protein shake bout a half hour after that
then a real meal an hour after that

Thats it. Unless you have a medical problem everything else is a waste. And if you dont need a preworkout than skip that too. I just like the feeling of lighting in my fingers

I don't take anything, though I suppose I should invest in some brotein. My roommate takes preworkout, and he's the exact reason why I'll never use that shit. He says it's like crack.

Fire him.

Even the DHEA + Test C seems strange.  Why use DHEA?  My understanding is that it will just facilitate E production if you're on Test.

As to the OP-
Joint compound
Fish oil
Vit D3
C4 a couple times a week

I'm getting ready to. I'll give this another 3 weeks and lab. If labs are low and I don't go back to Cyp, I'll have to go elsewhere.

Daily supps:
Fish oil

Pregnenolone
Vitamin D
Vitamin K2 (MK-7)

As a beast-mode pre-workout shake:
40g whey protein
10g NOW non-defatted liver powder
5g leucine peptides
2tsp instant coffee (equal to 2 cups)
400mg Rhodiola Rosea, standardized to 3% rosavins
500mg Green Tea extra, standardized to 350mg EGCG
And the big kicker - 1/4 cup (4TBSP) of Soy Lecithin Granules (I'm about to post up a new thread about just this one)

Tastes pretty bad, but it's the ticket for muscle building at 4AM

Non stimulant BCAA's usually before my morning workout, especially if I skipped dinner the night before.
Whey shake after a resistance workout.
CLA, also non stim
Krill Oil
Women's multi vitamin with iron

Used to take Glucosamine chondrointin for joints, and it did seem to help a good bit.  (lots of osteoarthritis)  But boy it tore up my stomach, so I had to stop taking it.

Preworkout: C4 (seems to work, relatively cheap and readily available)

Daily Vitamins:

Would love to buy some Gaspari BCCAs, but kinda pricey. Seemed to work great when I used them.

Which G&C were you using?  I've tried some of the liquid stuff with ok success but I'm now using some pills from Walmart and they seem to be working well.

I use protein powders though they are often over/misused. Their true utility is in reaching correct protein levels, and they're especially useful when cutting weight while hitting protein macros due to their high protein relative to calories. It's also convenient if I'm running late for work. Past a point more protein does nothing, thus those who are exceeding that max thinking more protein is always better are wasting their efforts.

Aside from that I've just been using basic creatine monohydrate. I'm considering experimenting with pre-workout, though most of them work on similar concepts as any other stimulant, the effects of which are hardly very unique/magical/unreproducable by other means.

I feel protein powder to fill protein gaps with creatine are the best bang for your buck, with the most solid science, and least hype/broscience. The supplement industry as a whole is filled with snake oil, these products are at least sound when utilized properly.

4,000 mg per day of fish oil (usually 4 pills)
1-2 capsules of magnesium before bed
lots of bcaas (I use them instead of C4)
creatine

I really like the Iso-Amino, but now they give me really greasy shits, sorry for the details.  I liked the flavor quite a bit, my wife still uses them.  I've tried the XTend and thought they were awful, I let the kids have them.  Dumb kids...

In the morning, I use the flavored muscle pharm 3-2-1 mixture, mixed with a scoop of creatine, as my pre/workout drink.  Whenever I make shakes throughout the day, or at least once a day, I add in a scoop of generic GNC bcaa5000 unflavored.

If you're not lifting heavy/low rep and pushing to failure or very close to failure, creatine won't make a difference.

On a cold Friday afternoon, I had come home from school. I had been thinking of the gym all day. I was hungry, didn't have any lunch. In fact, I didn't eat because I spent the money. For the past month I was saving up for something. Something special which I bought at GNC. I was surprised they didn't ask for ID; I was pretty sure the cashier noticed how nervous I was. Anyways, my mom asked my how my day was when I got home, but I ignored her. I have more important things to do. I run to the bathroom and unpack my bag. In my school bag is a white plastic bag from GNC. I open the bag, first removing the receipt and flushing it down the toilet to get rid of the evidence. My heart was racing now. I unpack the creatine monster from the bag.

I wonder what people will be asking me when they see that I will be 50lbs heavier. Should I say I was just eating a lot? I remove the label from the tub and tear it into a thousand small pieces. I flush that down the toilet, too. It is time now. I run up to my room when my mom ask me what I am holding. I panic, sweat drips down my forehead and my teeth chatter. "Mom, it's just for a school project". "What project?" "I don't know mom I just started it!". A tear runs down my cheek. I run upstairs and open the creatine, scooping upservings into a clear water bottle. What have I gotten myself into? I fill it with water and drink it. There is no turning back now. The creatine monster is inside me now, it will control me. What should I do if I die? I cant let my family know about this.

I open the creatine tub and throw it all out the window; a white cloud of mysterious dust sparkles into the wind so graciously. I feel the substance taking control of me; I am now the monster. I walk downstairs, its time to work out; time to get big. Now I worry, I don't want to get too big; people will think I use steroids. I do use steroids. No I don't. Creatine. All I see is the weights now, I am almost downstairs when I hear "Do you want a cookie I just baked". I know I do not have time for this **** now. "No mom I do not want a cookie" I walk in the basement and drop to my knees before the weights, tears running down my cheeks. I turn to the right and look at myself in the mirror. Oh god, what have I done?

I think I am going to add either BCAA to my daily intake, or Beta Alanine. Looks like Beta Alanine is good for raising Carnosine levels in the muscles, and it leads to more power and volume in short bursts (you still have to put in the work!)
Amazon link

BCAA are supposed to aid recovery and regrowth of muscles.
Amazon Link

Get both?

These bulk suppliments  are pretty cheap and have great reviews on Amazon.

That is quite the coincidence. I just ordered those two products this morning to try. I haven't used that brand. Seems well reviewed and the cost is great. So I figured it is worth a shot. I got free same day shipping. So hopefully they arrive before my session tonight so I can test them right away. I'll let you know what I think of them.

-------

Got to try them out last night. Had my workout buddy try them too. We both felt a good, clean energy from the beta-alanine. BCAAs mixed well. Overall happy with the purchase.

I am of the mentality that no supplements can overcome poor eating habits, so if you have specific goals, yet are not eating properly for those goals, all the supplements in the world won't help much.  You will just spend a lot of money.

Proper nutrition is the #1 supplement.

I could be wrong.

ETA I am talking beyond the protein shakes, BCAAs, Multi Vitamin, etc.

I was tooling around on Bodybuilding.com, and here is the "stack" they recommend for weight loss

Multivitamin
Fish Oil
CLA
BCAA
Whey Protein

There are some different "fat burning" products and I think I'm a little skeptical of them.
