I think the noise is more annoying than the pain.. I like when they do the shading though

It's not the needle work(that eventually starts to numb), it's the constant wiping and wiping that gets to be a pain in the ass.

Depends largely on where you have it placed on your body. The more fleshy the area is means less pain. My bicep was a breeze, but when I had one done on my sternum, I thought I was being carved up. The vibrations and dense nerve groups made it feel like he was tattooing my neck, but it was really 5-6" lower.

Of all the tattoos Ive gotten only one was uncomfortable to get...inside of the bicep...that skin is very tender....other than that, the process is like a hard vibration at the most. So no, it doesnt HURT, unless you have a vagina

I have a band around my shin and calf which was horribly painful. And another on my shoulder which didn't hurt at all.
