good evening. i have been thinking about how to solve this terrorist problem that the world seems to have. how about serving notice that unless 'the terorists' are given up, we bomb a city off the map? if that doesn't work, repeat until it does. i realize that this ain't a politically correct solution, but politically correct isn't gaining us shit. you got to break a few eggs to make an omlet. collatteral damage? the other guys don't care much about collatteral damage. i doubt that it would take more than 3 or 4 air strikes before all the mohammed whoeverthefucktheyare's started snitching the bad guys out. it has been a while since we arc lighted anyone. maybe it is time to polish the buffs and get to it before it is too late. ok. let the flames begin. i am a big boy and i can take it. peace. billr |

Sounds like a plan to me! They will have to pull off another 9/11 before everybody wakes up and takes the whole WOT to a true "Gloves Are Off" "Global" level. In the mean time just sit back and listen to to the Dems tell you about the poor terrorist at Gitmo having to listen to rap music with Air Conditioning.

Brits and their sypmathizers tried similar tactics here during the War of American Independence. Didn't work so well. Neither did it work very well for the Russians if Afghanistan, the French in Algeria (and they were incredibly brutal - it worked for a little while, but failed in the long term), or the US in Vietnam, though our responses were more limited. |

story: there used to be a halliburton yard in the little hick town i live near. across the street from the halliburton yard is a shell station/convenience store. it was run by some arabs or hindus or whatever on 9/11. the pictures were on the tv and the hindus/arabs/whatevers were cheering. [a few] halliburton guys jumped across the counter and commenced to tap dance on some hindus/arabs/whatevers. haven't seen those guys around since then. i was told that they all got a trip to the emergency room and some stayed a while. halliburton guys were all ok. no charges pressed. we have to fight this on a level that these assholes will understand. if they want to be martyrs, i will be pleased to help them along. peace. billr |
The only problem is this isn't the 1940's anymore. There used to be a saying "To the winners go the spoils" and we don't live by that anymore. If this would have happened in the past and we recieved info that a particular person of interest was in a certain village or region we would have went in and flattened everything no matter if it was a civilian or not and there would have been no report of it. I say we stop letting the journalists anywhere near a warzone. That is what led to the protect the innocent civilian mentality. There are lots of Nato nations that don't follow the Geneva Conventions rules so why the hell should we? You think if anyone invaded the US and won they would treat our civilians as equals? HELL NO!!

You won't defeat them on a large scale or in the longterm by winning hearts and minds. It will take grabbing them by the balls. I have long said the only way to make these attacks stop is by making them fear the end of their existence on this planet more than they support their cause of world domination. As of yet, we have failed to do anything that would accomplish that. If we make them realize that their attempts at world domination will not only fail, but cost them their presence on this planet, only then will they realize it isn't worth it and stand down. These people do not limit themselves in battle like we do. Civilians are their prime target in fact, but they will attack anyone if given the chance. We on the other hand will not. Some say we shouldn't stoop to their level. But the way I see it, you gotta fight the war you're given. And we've been given one in which civilians are often the primary targets with attacks carried out by people who are also civilians. We aren't fighting an army or government here. We are fighting a group of foreign civilians who are fighting not for a government, but for their religious beliefs and desires. So if it is civilians attacking us, I have no problem attacking their civilians. And let's keep in mind that this is a "holy war". That's what the enemy calls it. That means it's us vs them. Therefore they are a legit target. The burden is on their people, not ours, to move away from this type of behavior. Maybe a little motivation from our end would help that process along. Therefore if we started carpet bombing cities in Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, or wherever these people are, you will not see me complaining. And I make no apologies for saying so. |

I dont know much about foriegn policy, admittedly, I am somewhat of a seperatist. I do know enough about the middle east to understand that it is consumed with a culture that respects strength.....and very little else. Perhaps my ideas are simple....but we are dealing with a prehistoric mindset. I believe that cause & effect relationships can be the answer here as well. I have often stated that if I had the authority to do so, I would issue an ultimatum.... Leave us alone, we leave you alone. Attack us and harm one of our civilians....we will execute 100 million of yours. Simple enough...dont fuck with us, we return the favor...cant live in peace? Then we eliminate you from the timeline, extinct your fucking religion, and ink your legacy in a history book somewhere before closing the binder on your pathetic lineage. I am unfortunately (maybe fortunately - who knows) not in a position to make that happen. I do wonder though.....after 60 years.....when will the next bomb drop. |

You sir are 100% correct. That is the only way we can win. These people only respect strength. The way we fight, we present ourselves as weak. In order to defeat them, we must be willing to demonstrate we have the will and the capacity to go much farther than them. One of our civilians being murdered by these pieces of shit should result in one of their entire cities being cleared from the map. That and only that will get their attention. Anything less is doomed to fail. Let's face it, we aren't doing enough to scare these people. |

You guys pointing at certain countries are wrong, it's not a state or country it's a religion, it happens to be in many countries so borders are meaningless. If we quit stopping at some stupid line in the sand beacause the bad guys walked accross it we will never win. I posted this response on another board I'm on with a bunch of liberal wennies, I've got a few starting to see things in the proper context. This post has a few extras thrown in but it applies here anyway. Here it is, If you think the UK is gonna fold you're fucking crazy, they delt with the same shit from the IRA for how long? British resolve is something they know all about, from WW2 to now this is what they know. So your telling me I need to understand these ROP ( religion of peace ) fucktards. It's simple they follow a religion written by a pedophile that keeps them repressed and tells them that anyone not a ROPer is an infedel and there is nothing wrong with killing them if they don't convert. I think I got it. Solutions. A. Everyone convert to Islam B. Stay with the status quo and we'll continue this same shit for the next 600 years. C. Kill them ALL, let god sort them out. Now I know some of you look at this and say " Jesus Charlie, how could you even type such a thing" well this is how they see it and I believe turn about IS fair play. Do we want to send a message that we do not want to be fucked with anymore. Bomb the shit out of Mecca and all thier other most holy sites and tell them what day and time we are going to do it. Let them know that being a ROPer is just fine but you will have to adopt a live and let live policy with all the other religions or face anialation. If you are going to fight the war on terror, fight to win, not to just stay in the lead.
