You just reminded me that I need to go to the CMP and pick one of those up. I have not had a M1 in several years, but still have several hundred rounds of ammo in the clips sitting around. Seems a shame to have all of that ammo and nothing to shoot it in. Thanks for the reminder.

May of '65 rebuild. The triangle stamp on the birch pistol grip bottom and of course the electric pencil on the receiver lug are the clues of course. My LEAD rebuild has a nice silvery parkerization, mine's a July, '44 SA. |
