| theres a guy in the OHIO hometown threading barrels for a hundred dollars. this led me to wonder..Are all threaded barrels the same diameter...I mean how do I know Im getting a threaded barrel at a size that will fit a can if I want to get one..Do cans come with different sized threaded sockets? they must right ..? a 9 mm is almost the diameter of the threaded barrel of a 22.. If I have a can that is big enough for a 9mm can I run it on my 22? insight please guys..thx |

Check the Suppressor forum.
That said, there are specific thread patterns out there....1/2 x 28 being the most common in the States. Suppressor manufacturers offer their products with various thread patterns, as well. ETA: Some of the more hardcore "can" guys can give you the technicals but I do know that not all threaded barrels are created equal in the eyes of our Lord and Savior. |
