| I've posted before about this but didn't get what I needed, I guess, or else I'm just thick headed, I think thats it. But, I need a web site to do hosting for my shop. I want to sell guns, have a fillin box to enter zipcode in order to find dealers in the buyers area to ship to and that sort of thing. Any ideas? You guys always come throught. |

You'll have to register a domain. This is just what's typed in the URL on the client side.
You'll have to have a server. * You'll need to write a program to provide the information you want to provide. * * You can pay people to do this for you. Renting a server is probably your best bet. Basically the company you rent the server from takes care of the server, so all you have to do is upload content. Find a web developer to help create your website unless you want to do it yourself. So, do a little searching for people who provide web hosting services, and do some homework on them. See how much they charge, what you can put on their servers, if they can provide a domain name. Some of them probably even have web developers. You don't have to go with one company to provide all this, but that would make it easier for you. |

Hi etolleys,
We have helped many ARFCOMers get their websites up and running. You can send me a PM, or e-mail and I will be more than glad to help you along the right path. We can take care of everything you would need. You may contact me personally at nick @ hostingscene.com, even if you decide to not go with our services I would still be glad to answer any questions you may have. |
| Pay a visit to webhostingtalk.com, take a look at what a quality shared hosting service will provide and how much they'll cost. I'd look into a local company to design your website since you're new to this type of stuff. I took a look at Bushtree (Nick?) and it appears his company is quite reputable, it looks like he goes through wiredtree for his servers and they are an excellent provider. |
