For barrel-fluting I use a Dremel 300.  It's variable speed gives me the control
and precision necessary for nice semi-uniform flutes.

I don't know?....It's a Dremal..

If you really want to move material...use a die-grinder and carbide bits..

I've made sights, made belt holders, and am currently working on some AR spade grips with my dremel.

Never had need to work on my AR directly with it.

Have you tossed it down the driveway yet?  I think you have to do that first and then you are allowed to Dremel an AR.

You need a DIAS. It is a crime you don't have one with that setup.
