I want to use my LCD TV for a monitor. Whats a good wireless keyboard and mouse to use.

I played around with my laptop and the wireless mouse for it stops working after getting 3-4 feet away.

I don't want to drop a lot of $$ for a keyboard but still wants one that works.

ETA: We installed 4 wireless keyboard at our dispatch center but they have to be reset all the time. I wasn't impressed.

I really, really like the MS Wireless 8000. If that's too much cash, the 7000 is pretty swank, too. Just not as plush

You'll need to use bluetooth if you want any significant range, as well as if you're concerned about security - the signal from the RF unites can be snooped from significantly further away than its "usable" distance, and encryption is poor at best (as in, I believe either logitech or MS just XORs it).

Unfortunately, BT is much more expensive - you'll end up dropping around $100.  Or at least, it was thereabouts the last time I looked into it.

Other option, if you aren't concerned about security, is get a USB extension cable that will let you run the receive close enough to where to plan to use the keyboard.   Might be able to stash the receiver underneath the couch or something, but you'd still need to deal with ugly wireless unless you want to run them down the basement or attic or something.

Logitech DiNovo Edge

Bluetooth and damn sexy...

Expensive, but worth it, IMHO...its what I plan on using when I build a home theater PC...
