i went to a fun show yesterday and met a guy who "might" be selling his Springfield M1A. i gave him my number and said "come up with a price and call me" which he did yesterday evening. his story- "i bought this M1A brand new about 10 years ago, its got alot of USGI parts, i shot maybe 50 rounds through it and havent used it since, and i have 3- 20 round magazines for it" he called me with a price- $1,000 when i got back to the fun show today i sold a walther ppk and used the rest of the cash in my pocket to buy the M1A from this guy. the gun is in beautiful shape and looks like its barely been used... like 50 rounds kind of barely used. im so happy to be part of the M1A AND AR families now! question though- whats the purpose of the flip-up part on the end of the buttstock that covers the latch for the cleaning kit compartment?? |
i hope you die, and leave me your gun |
We haven't seen it wrapped around your throat though! Kidding! Nice price, you got a very good deal on that. Shoot it, and then shoot it some more. The best thing to do with your new M1A. |
IIRC, it was used on an M14 to stabilize in full-auto. |
