Has anybody else had problems getting a Springfield 1911? I've been waiting 2 months for my PX9151L (Full Size Stainless Steel with combat sights) from my dealer. He has no idea when it will get here still.

A lot of dealers get stuck in a distributor rut when ordering. My own dealer is often guilty of the same thing.

Gunsamerica, search= PX9151L, just came up with 6 pistols. Therefore, if you want it, go get it.

Ah ok. Problem is I already put $200 down, and its nonrefundable. If I would've known it would take this long, I would've gone a different route.

Then take the gunsamerica list to your FFL and make it happen. Otherwise, enjoy the wait

I'm a dealer and work with many distributors. I review their stock daily, almost no SA 1911's are out at this time. Most of the distributors have 00000 inventory at this time. Only thing that seem to be coming available are regular style TRP's. SA seems like they went on vacation.

Ah thanks. That makes sense. That's what I have been hearing from a few other people. I ended up calling Springfield directly. They didn't say anything about any shortages, but who knows if the lady I talked to knew anything. She did say that production of my model gun is beginning this month, but its anybody's guess when I'll actually have it in my hand.

i found a mc operator on guns america a few mos ago.  Milford firearms.  just look on gunsamerica, and email all on availability.  im sure your dealer will get it through them with the wait time issues everyone is facing.

probably not a good idea to put $ down on a gun that the dealer cant get.  you might be able to get your $ back since he has not paid for the gun, since he cant find one.  most dealers wont ask for a deposit until they found one.
