All of a sudden my Colt Series 80 1911 has a very tight mag release. The magazines are catchins as I insert them and the release button is very stiff. I removed the release and thoroughly cleaned it and the frame, still has the problem. If I slam the mag in it will go in, and it falls free when released. I have tried 6 different mags with the same results. They also work fine in my SA 1911. ETA I switched the mag release with the one from my Springfield and that fixed the problem, I am going to orer a ne one for the Colt and hopr that fixes it. |
