I put another 200 rounds though my Citadel 1911 and have come to realize that I don't like the pistol much in it's current form.

The ambi safety is in the way of my left finger and I don't care for it's shape and size on the thumb side.

The serrated trigger is annoying after the 50th or so shot.

I'd also like some 3 dot sights to replace the stock sights.

It ran like crap but I think I caused some of the stoppages with my thumb on my right hand having issues with the safetty.

What vendors should I look at for parts?

Dude, you should totally check out Brownell's

They're over near North Hollywood on Radford, near the In-and-Out Burger...

try a thumb over the saftey grip.

also known as thumbs forward grip.

I tried over and under.

Going under, I tripped the safety more than once and when I shot with the thumb over it wasn't comfortable.

I'd like to add some stainless parts to bling it out a little and this gives me an excuse.

Can anyone tell me the reason for the difference in bushing sizes?

I'm assuming the larger the diameter of the ID, the tighter the lockup and theoretically the better the accuracy is.

Older 38super and 9mm varieties used a "skinny" barrel........the 45acp barrel used a larger one of course.......most 9mm and 38 super barrels as of today take the same as the 45acp............Inside diameter differences of a few thousands..............are for reaming to achieve a tight fit.............

I would say that .581 inside diameter would be for drop in application and something around .574 would be for gunsmith fitting
