Colt used to have one for sale and I believe there is another manufacturer also.

I believe Colt discontinued theirs.

The Springfield EMP is available in .40, and I believe Kimber makes (or made)  1911's in .40.

Yes.


Isnt .40 S&W the most common caliber for some type of competition shooting. Its the easiest caliber to make the power factor with. Anyway, a lot of those competition shooters use the 1911 design.

Para's are junk, so is the .40S&W IMO

STI, but I question the utility of the .40 in the 1911 platform.  More recoil and less performance.
