Simple question.

My next glock will be a 45. Not sure which I prefer....I have a 30S and really like it.

Also have a 22 17 and 19 vickers

Will be a range and eventually nightstand gun.

I had both. I like the 41 better.

I was shooting it at 100 yards today for fun. Not bad groups either.

Sounds like you got pistols for concealed carry already so you might as well get a 41 since the size won't be an issue.  That's precisely why I got a 41 was because I wasn't going to use it for anything that required concealing it.
ETA: Bonus is that the 41 might fit in holsters you already have.

I say G21. Softest shooting .45 on the planet. I've heard the G41 is a touch snappier due to a lighter slide.

I daily carry my 21 IWB in an Alien Gear holster.

I like the long slides for everything but carry.

I have had the 21 and sold it to get a 41. On paper, the 41 wins out. Longer sight radius and barrel AND it weighs less. However, my 21 never failed and my 41 has had 2 fail to feed in 1000 rounds.

Edit: one more advantage to the 41 is that it will fit open ended g19/17 holsters due to the thinner slide

2 out of a thousand is still pretty damn good. I could easily forgive that track record.

I have both and can't tell a difference shooting. I probably shoot the G41 more.

Mine fits in a safari sls for my 34 and 35 with the light. A bit snug but you can loosen the tension screws to make it better. Any bolster with the thumbstrab or hood won't clear the back of the slide though.

The G21 is the "M1 Garand" of pistols!  It has NO equal!

21.

Because SF-RTF2 isn't available in a Gen4.

I bought a 41 with plans of selling my 21.  Tried it for a month.  Sold the 41.  Just didn't like the way it shot.  YMMV.

Wish I had kept my 21 because the 41 didn't last long for me.

I'm going for a 21 because the 41 doesn't come in OD green

I would go with the Glock 21 if you are going to carry.  Glock 41 is more for range fun I think.

For your needs I would say 41. You already have multiple glocks for carry. Might as well get the longer slide 41, plus it will fit in some holsters you already have.

Same here. The 41 shot the same for me. Actually, I might shoot the 21 even better. The longer sight radius didn't do anything for me. Also, the recoil was snappier.

I have a 21sf and 41.

There really isn't much difference.

I do prefer the G4 for the big frame guns.

Longer slide with reduced weight makes it feel snappy compared to the 21. Side by side, follow up shots were faster for me with the 21. Sold mine as well for a 21 gen 4.

I really like my Gen4 21, bought it last year and haven't looked back, like it so much I sold my M&P.

I've heard a 21.4 is one of the best shooting pistols Glock makes. I'd go 21.4 if it were me.

I've carried a Gen 4 21 for almost three years now on duty and in that time I have approximately fired 9,000rds with it.  I have had a total of 5 malfunctions, all of which were ammo related.  Handled a 41 and shot it, figuring it would be slightly more accurate because of the longer barrel and sight radius.  I had equal accuracy shooting a steel silhouette, standing at 100yrds with both pistols.  Up close I could rapid fire my 21 much faster than the 41, while still making combat effective hits (nipple to nipple, neck to belt line target area).  At 7 yrds from the holster I could draw and fire two rounds with my 21 and get hits in that zone in 1.65 seconds.  Whenever I tried to shoot the 41 that fast, I would always put a round in the right shoulder, indicating the longer slide was taking more time to settle, causing my second shot to be high.  Ended up not buying the 41, but am considering a second Gen 4 21.

Recently traded my G3 21 for a G4 41.  After shooting with factory sights, I thought I had made a huge mistake.  After installing trijicon HDs on the G41, I was amazed at my shooting performance.  I wouldn't have believed sights could make such a difference.  I definitely like the G4 over the G3.  Credit the sights or the sight radius, I am shooting much better with the G41 at rapid strings or long distances.

I fondled a g4 G21 this week and I really liked it. Perhaps I only ever handled a g3 before. Didn't care for it before because it felt too big but the g4 felt good.

I guess I need to handle both. I like the idea of a longer barrel and sight radius to add something different to the collection. But I know the 21 is tried and true...

We were ringing an 8" steel plate with my G41 at 100 yards the other day, very very nice pistol.
