Was about to buy a glock 19 for carrying.  Picked up the 229 with the E2 grips.  All I gotta say is butter in my hands.  Spent about 400 more than the Glock and happy I did.

Excellent choice, you'll have no regrets.  No Glock hate here, but the 229 is just incredibly sweet.  Mine quickly found its way to #1 in my carry choice (P229 E2 SAS 9mm).

Can't go wrong with the Sig!

And the E2 grips are nice, I just put them on my 226 today and it makes a big difference.

I bought a 226 as my first gun in 2001 and it is still my favorite gun out of dozens now.  I may have to add the E2's to that it as well.  I agree Glocks are great guns, but not in the same category at all.  That's coming frame someone who has a G 22, 34, 27, and 30.  I'm still waiting for my X-5 L1 to clear MD state police.  They are running 50 plus days to do background checks now..... I'm sure the 229 I just got will be even longer.   FML

Great choice. I love my 229. None of the Glocks I've tried feel quite as good to me but I don't have anything against them otherwise.

Best of both worlds-alluminum frame and stainless slide.

This little beauty has crept in to my mind and I can't get it out. How long before it follows me home? Actually I haven't even looked around for it yet, I wonder if it will be hard to find.
