Does anyone have any experience with the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit? Pros and cons or should I just buy a 22LR pistol given the cost of the conversion kit. |

I purchase Advantage Arms XD conversion as soon as I saw they were available.
I have not fired it much, many be 200 rds but it never missed a beat. My son has one for his glock and it has also been great. I love my XD 9mm and really like having a conversion for it. I will buy one for the XDm when available. |

| I had to take the long way around about getting my AA 1911 kit.....In 2009 I bought the AA basic 22lr 1911 kit were the whole slide moves back when you shoot it but it was shaving lead from the bullets......The problem was the feed ramp was a two piece design that if it was not exactly perfect it would shave lead and it would build up on the feed ramp......So after figuring this out I called AA and they said they could not fix the conversion kit(imagine that a company making a product that they could not fix ?)So they offered to have me send it back to them and they would upgrade me for free to their 1911-22T target version which by the way does not have the split feed ramp design......So after getting the target version I have to say that after a little breaking in it runs like a sewing machine and is the most accurate 22 pistol I own next to my ruger mark II stainless 10".......I absolutely love it! |

Most of my trigger time in handguns goes to FN Hi Power and S&W J-frame .32's |
