| I just picked up a used 22/45 competition and found that the bolt stop does not drop when you pull the bolt to the rear, I have to push down on the bolt release. I havent taken it apart yet to see if theres a broken spring but I know from other MkIIs that I've worked on that there's a plunger and spring for the bolt stop. Is the 22/45 different in this regard? |
Mine does the same thing, and has done it since the day I bought it new. |

There is a spring loaded ball that engages a detent, which will keep the bolt stop in place. You have to pull the bolt back, and manually push the release down to disengage the stop. You can easily remove that spring and ball, after which the release will work just by pulling the bolt back, or even by pushing the release without pulling the bolt back. |
