| anyone here know of a current-production semiauto pistol that will fire the 22short cartridge--AND still work the action? |

I have several Beretta 950 BS in .22 short. They will cycle the action with all rounds, even CB. Rem .22 short CB - 29gr bullet @ 740 fps. Win Super-X is a very hot load - also 29gr. There are conversions available for the Ruger MK-II, but it is not offered in 22 short directly from Ruger. |
$225 is premium for that gun. - I would not pay that unless it was a pre 68 Made in Italy with the Original box (matching numbers) Normal going rate is about $125-$155. BTW - after 68 there were none due to the GCA 68' import BS. Later, once Beretta setup the (Accokeek? MD) plant for the Military M9 contract they produced a few U.S. Made units. There are conversions available for the Ruger MK-II - I think I saw these in the Brownells Catalog, but I don't have one to confirm that. (edit) BTW - I have a few Model 21's - they are not the same gun. - The 950's are single action and IMHO have a much better trigger. |
