This isn’t what we’re here for, but I have a S&W 317, thing weighs 11 ounces and holds 8 rounds of .22 lr. I’ve been tickled to death with it. Very accurate for its size and weight, soda cans at 10 yards are child’s play, shotgun hulls are a bit sporty though.

Quoted: I’ve been looking into these. Any sticky extraction issues? View Quote It gets a bit sticky when it gets hot and dirty, but a nylon bore brush and a squirt of clp clears it out just fine. Maybe takes a hundred rounds to get hard to eject. I bought it for a canoe gun, a kydex holster and speed loader from speed-beez make it great on your hip while fishing and camping. I made a lanyard for it and use a retractable tether to keep it attached to me if I should happen to dump the canoe. It patterns rat shot well at snake dispatching distance, and should be hell on a raccoon the next time one is molesting my campsite. |

I'm partial to 3" barreled revolvers myself. The only one I have at the moment is a Ruger SP101, but I've also owned a S&W 60 in .357. Currently on the hunt for a 3" 686+.

Here's a crappy picture from one of the "every handgun should have a light" threads; the lantern was moving and making it hard for the phone to focus I guess.

My gunbroker special Model 10. She's rough, but has potential. I'm planning on sending this one to Tyler Gun Works.

Mastered them long ago. Part of the SF Creed I will strive always to excel in every art and artifice of war. CD That's what makes it funny; despite the common rhetoric, most of the folks I know who've actually been there, done that, have at least one revolver (usually a J frame) that gets carry time. Somewhat surprisingly, despite carrying Glocks most of the time overseas and what you see on youtube, only a handful of them carry them here; they actually carry a pretty wide assortment of stuff. Honestly, it's the whole picture that I find funny- the Charter Arms, a five shot revolver that still has the hammer spur, the assorted ammo and HKS Speedloaders and the Uncle Mike's holster. So many internet folks would swear that combo would get you killed yet someone with actual real world experience is comfortable with it I'm definitely low speed, but the Rossi in the goofy picture I posted above is sitting about a foot from me anytime I'm at my desk (there might be a couple of other guns nearby as well though ). |

I’ve been really happy with this guy. Made a few changes from stock, not set on this particular set of VZ grips though

Quoted: OP- the new Colt is a great gun. The older S&Ws are getting harder to find and more expensive. I find the Ruger 5 shots to be less refined. Compare how much sleeker the Mod 60 is above my SP101. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/63364/594CCBA9-7DD7-4DC3-AF6D-E9E7C8947EF4_jpe-2492181.JPG View Quote Who makes the grips for the colt? For me a .357 needs a 4" with full underlug at minimum.
Even then I'm only shooting 125 +P |
