Do any of you have a Guardian in this caliber?  What do you think of them?

Check out THIS thread.

ETA:  The large frame Mini Guardian (.32NAA & .380ACP) is quite heavy - 18+ ounces unloaded - which takes much of the desirability away IMO.  Practice with just .32NAA is expensive, but reloading dies (by Lee) are available HERE (follow the link at the bottom to the dies, I wanted you to see both pages.)

I liked the review of this little gun in the last American Rifleman, looks pretty solid.

As you note, though, it won't be cheap to feed.

CorBon also sells a 71gr FMJ as part of its "Performance Match" line.  $26.38/50 rd box.  Cheap!

I think the bottlenecked case fired from a blowback pistol is going to make for short brass life if you plan on reloading.

Good point, something to consider.

I, too, was intrigued by this pistol.  Seems like a good idea.  However...

The ballistics data I read indicated an penetration of 6 inches in gelatin, only half of the 12 inches recommended for defensive firearms.

If I am wrong about this point, please someone let me know, because I would love to carry one of these pistols.  If, however, the penetration is really that anemic, then I don't want to waste my time.

The guy on THIS SITE has tested it in calibrated gelatin and seems to think otherwise.

ThePirate: Thanks for the info.  What I read into this is that if I handload, I can obtain the penetration and expansion desired from this cartridge.  The Corbon factory loads also appeared to have adequate penetration.

Oh, and thanks for making me have to spend more money

I personally think it is a pretty tall order for a pocket pistol to meet the FBI penetration requirements and expand.  The results of those tests certainly exceed what I would have expected.

Some counsel against using handloads for self-defense, but considering how deliberately underpowered many of the pocket pistol cartridges are, I haven't heard a real convincing argument against it.  Assuming, of course, the handloads are made with the quality and attention to detail of someone experienced in rolling their own.

Oh, and you are most welcome (for the spending more money thing)!

Interesting! Looks like it needs a better bullet.

I'd bet things could be pushed a little harder out of your locked breach Kel-Tec.
.32NAA +P anyone?

I bet the 60gr Gold Dot HP would do pretty well...

ETA:  Note the barrel length on the brassfetcher.com site is listed as 2.75".  The Mini Guardian has a 2.50" barrel, Kel-Tec P-3AT a 2.76" barrel.  Methinks he has one of the rare .32NAA kits for his Kel-Tec.
