Delaware State Police, Virginia State Police, Texas Ranger Division & Texas Department of Public Safety, Rhode Island State Police, Federal Air Marshals, U.S. Secret Service, Richmond Police Department, and Miami Beach Police Department. When the FBI went back to 9mm, it pretty much sealed the deal for anything that wasn't 9mm was on borrowed time as a police service load. I worked the majority of my career carrying .40 S&W and a small stint carrying .45 GAP too (a great cartridge) and finished out with 9mm since the Florida went 9mm after the FBI did. I've personally haven't snagged a .357 SIG chambered piece mostly because I was and still am wed to the .40 S&W. But with just a simple barrel change, I can enjoy the cartridge. I have a spare .40 S&W Hi-Power that's currently rocking a 9mm FM Detective slide assembly. Which means I have a spare .40 S&W assembly. I want to get a .357 SIG barrel for that. |
