Could someone give me some insight on the differances in them? The glock sight has no dimentions for the 30SF. I do own a 36 which has been very good to me, but a 30SF has came up locally for sale. I would like to know more 30SF before I waste both of our time to look it over. Thanks

If it's a good deal I'd get it, I plan on getting one as well, the SF for sure (Iz gots smaller hands).

I gripped a regular 20 and 21 at the show, damn those are big guns.

11 rounds of .45acp in that size is pretty awesome.

I vote for more bullets.......that is all!

I am not a small person.  I could maybe see if someone had smaller hands then they might want a 36.  If your hands are that small, just get yourself a Glock 23.  The 23 is my issued gun and I absolutely love it.  In fact, I like it so much that I carry a second G23 to back up my first one.

I did have a G27 for my back-up, but I am not a big fan of the non-full length guide rod.  I have seen the 27s guide rod get tangled up.  BTW the G30 and G36 both have those dual spring guide rods.  So sign me up for a 21 for the .45s.

YMMV

For reasons unknown to me, it seems like the G36 is the most troublesome Glock made.  There are a large number of posts where owners are having problems with them even though few are sold.  I don't know if its a case of poor technique or what but for that reason, I couldn't recommend a G36 over the G30SF.

I just went through the same dilemma. I had both in my hands at a local store. I LOVED the way the 36 felt in my hand. A single stack Glock was like heaven in the hand. However, only having a seven round capacity seriously soured me when I considered the 36 cost the same as the 30sf. I also considered that I already had a 21sf and could interchange the mags with the 30sf. Mags for the 36 are expensive when you can find them.

Like another person above mentioned, there have been a number of posts from folks who have had problems with feeding issues and ejections issues with the 36. Not sure why there are so many problems with the 36 but that played into my decision to get the 30sf. I haven't shot it over 15 yards yet but inside the 15 it is right on the mark. I am very happy with the 30sf and would highly recommend it.

I have a G30SF it is a great pistol I carry it in the winter as my winter pistol because for me it is hard to conceal because I am skinny.  I carry a G27(w/.357Sig Conv) in the summer.  The G30SF is a great shooter mine came with adjustable sights and I never changed them but other then that I like everything about it.  The grip size is perfect with it being the SF model.
