Local gunshop owner made me a great offer on some Winchester Ranger +P+ ammo. It was an unbelievable price for quality self defense loads($12.50 per box of 50 if I take 5 or more boxes he has about 8 or 9 in stock) the ammo looks great saw no issues when took some out of the box to inspect. My only question is can I safely shoot these out of SW 642 or my Ruger LCR. In the owners manual i see no reference to +P+ ammo. Both are rated at +P but does anyone know if these 2 guns can stand up to added pressure of +P+ ammo..

Here is a link to the same  ammo he has

Thanks guys

I wouldn't shoot it in anything other .357 mag revolvers.

The famous 110  T  load

Depends on the Jframe if I used the load or not

A few +P+ loads wont hurt a current S&W J frame

There are better loads than the+P+ stuff
Gold Dot 135gr +P
Win DPX1 130gr+P
Corbon 110gr +P

There is no industry standard for .38 Special +P+, but Winchester tries to keep each lot to under 27,000 psi. I would not use these in alloy framed 5-shot .38's.

Personally, I do not see a compelling reason to go to +P+ anymore.

This.  If for no other reason than the recoil.  I can't remember the last time I  saw +p+ 38 ammo.  Is it even made anymore?

I think it would most certainly blow up your Ruger LCP, if you could make it fit.  You'd probably be all right putting it in an LCR, though .
