I know the aluminum is lighter.  Any other real difference in reliability, endurance, accuracy or anything else over any of the models?  Thanks guys.

Stainless is a stronger frame...

10mm pistols all came with stainless frames. Other models, there were some with alloy frames and some with stainless. It is mainly for strength.

Yes.  Recoil will be snappy, but wear and tear shouldn't be an issue, provided you keep it cleaned and lubed.  3rd gen Smiths like to be run wet.
